Last week, we decided to celebrate our Galentine's Day dinner here, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The service was amazing--attentive and friendly as always. The sauce bar was fantastic, offering so many different flavor options to customize our dipping sauces. The only thing we wished for was a bigger table since there were five of us, and we ordered quite a few different dishes. But overall, everything was excellent. HDL is easily our top choice for hot pot in Irvine, and we can't wait to come back! ”

Everything is super fresh and high quality. I've tried the Tom Yum, Spicy Mala (I requested it!), Sukiyaki, and Tomato broth--all so good! but my fav is spicy mala and sukiyaki! “ Parking: Haidilao is located in the Diamond Jamboree Plaza. Parking can get difficult but they also have a parking structure in the back. Exterior: There is a small snack bar with Asian crackers set up in the waiting area. Interior: The interior was a bit crowded but extremely clean. There was also a sauce bar with some appetizers and desserts on the side. Service: You are given an apron when you are seated. The servers were very attentive and came often to refill the soup base and check if we needed anything. They also helped with cooking some of the ingredients. Honestly, I was very impressed with the service that was provided. The restrooms even have toothbrush, floss, and mouthwash. Dining at Haidilao is extremely expensive but you definitely get what you paid for. Food: I knew dining at Haidilao was expensive but it definitely was a lot more than I expected. Each item was individually ordered so the cost adds up. The soup bases vary between $5-7 each so if you get the pot with 4 bases, then it is easily $20+ for just soup alone. It was my first time so I opted to try out 4 of their broths. My favorite ones were the pork bone broth and the buttery spicy pork broth. Their menu included a variety of high quality ingredients and came clean and neatly plated. I would definitely recommend this place if you have the money to splurge. ”
